So last night I got the chance to finally see Diggnation at a live shoot here in Tempe at the Tempe Center for the Preforming Arts. I showed up at 3PM and ended up getting front row seats! I met some awesome people from all over the place including a guy who flew in from New Jersey to see the show. I took tons of pics over and put them up on my Flickr account. Some of them aren’t the greatest thanks to the stock flash on my Digital Rebel but they work. Below are some of my favorites from the show.

On May 12th, Mens Journal wrote an article about a man of pure genius. This man has improved upon a dish called “The Bacon Explosion“. This man, happens to be MY UNCLE! Check out the story over at Men’s Journal (full story).

Some great Uncle David quotes are in the article and my favorite part of the article follows:

He’s even gone so far as to make a bacon explosion stuffed with fried onion rings. “That was pretty badass,” admits Conn, who improbably is a former music professor at Cornell University.

So here’s to you Uncle David. Congrats! You and Uncle Steve are the ones I have to credit with the bulk of Kitchen Chops that I have acquired while being your assistant through all those Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

The Updated Today plugin has been updated to version 1.6. In this version I have corrected the error that drafts would invoke the ‘Updated Today’ banner and now only posts or pages with the ‘publish’ status will cause the banner to be displayed.
